Designed and handmade by Halinka, this Eastern European story involves a firebird helping Prince Ivan rescue Princess Yelena from a castle. Prince Ivan has a coat made of vintage brocade, edged with a brick red wool. He has beaded fastenings and a vintage ribbon sash. His trousers are an ivory and gold vintage brocade and he is completed with long red boots and a cap. Princess Yelena has an ivory under dress edged at the bottom with a gold and white ribbon over laid with 1950’s lace. Her tabard is made from a vintage Japanese silk fabric ( the pattern will be slightly different on each one) At the neck is a red thread held in place by little gold beads , her shoes are red with a jewelled buckle and her tiara is gold with a ruby.The Firebird is made from some yellow and orange silk fabrics, gold spider web fabric and beads. the tail feathers are wired frayed silk. Prince Ivan and Princess Yelena measure 12cm to 13cm tall and the Firebird is about 11cm long. They arrive together in their own gift box.
